Simon Cowell says he's looking forward to becoming a father.  During his Tuesday appearance on ITV morning show "Daybreak," the reality TV mogul said his coming baby is "nothing to hide now."

Cowell has been promoting an upcoming musical called "I Can't Sing!" that's a parody of his singing competition show "X Factor."

The musical is set to debut in London in March, and Cowell dropped a hint about the due date when he joked that he'd "timed it" so that the baby would be able to attend the premiere.

The 53-year-old is expecting a child with Lauren Silverman, the now ex-wife of his former friend.

In another interview with the "Times of London," Simon gushed about seeing a sonogram of his child.  He said that he was feeling "very paternal," but added that "can assure" fans that fatherhood won't make him "go soft."

The new season of "X Factor" premieres on Fox next Wednesday and Thursday, September 11th and 12th.
