Doctors Found Woman's Contact Lens 28 Years Later

A 42-year-old woman in the U.K. got nailed in the eye playing badminton as a teenager, and lost one of her contact lenses. Now she finally knows where it went after a doctor found it lodged above her eyeball 28 YEARS later.

She recently went in after her eyelid swelled up and started drooping, and they found a small cyst. And when they removed the cyst, they found the contact lodged inside it.

Apparently she'd never had any other symptoms. Which is surprising, because it was one of those old-school HARD lenses people don't really wear anymore. And she didn't even know how it got there at first. Her mom was the one who remembered her losing it.
