DRUID CITY MUSIC FESTIVAL ANNOUNCES ADDITIONAL 2019 FESTIVAL DETAILS

FEATURING MULITPLE FRIDAY NIGHT VENUES IN VIBRANT DOWNTOWN TUSCALOOSA

TUSCALOOSA, Ala. – Asheville, Chattanooga, New Orleans, Nashville… and now Tuscaloosa! Beginning in 2019, Tuscaloosa Tourism & Sports’ (TTS) Druid City Music Festival will propel Tuscaloosa into an exclusive list of must-visit music festival destinations in the Southeast.

The Druid City Music Festival (DCMF) is excited to announce its complete list of Friday night venues which will feature live music from many up and coming local and regional artists spanning multiple genres. Admission to Friday Night’s portion of the festival is included in the General Admission ticket price, which will be determined at a later date and time. (A full venue list is included at the bottom of this release)

Saturday’s portion of events will feature two distinct opportunities to enjoy the many aspects of the Druid City Music Festival. During Saturday morning, The Tuscaloosa River Market will be home to the inaugural “Tuscaloosa Battle of the Bands”, with multiple entries battling it out to determine who will take home the title of “Tuscaloosa’s Top Band”. Additional announcements regarding registration, and competition information to compete in this event, will be announced later date and time. This event will be free to the public.

Starting late Saturday morning (and throughout the day and evening), Government Plaza will come alive with various national touring acts and feature the largest stage production s that has ever been hosted on its property. The City of Tuscaloosa and DCMF are continuing to have ongoing discussions in order to fulfill public safety requirements, as well as the needs of establishing a modern festival footprint that provides an incredible experience for its patrons. The multiple genres of music at Government Plaza will not only cater to the several thousands of college students who call Tuscaloosa home but also the thousands of concert fans located throughout the Southeast.

“We are so excited to release our venue lineup for the festival,” TTS CEO Don Staley said, “We believe that this lineup really shows off what Downtown Tuscaloosa has to offer when it comes to our vibrant music & food scene. Get ready Tuscaloosa, it’s going to be a festival experience that Tuscaloosa hasn’t seen in recent memory!”

Additional event information will be released later this year regarding festival layout, specific bands, sponsorship packages, general admission, and VIP ticket sales.
