Tech-or-Treat

The City of Tuscaloosa will host the third annual ‘tech-or-treat’ night on Tuesday, Oct. 23 from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Tuscaloosa Gateway Innovation and Discovery Center, located at 2614 University Blvd East.

Tech-or-Treat is a free community event where children go table to table collecting candy and prizes from City departments and community organizations. Each table will offer fun activities and tech-themed prizes to visitors in costumes. The prizes range from cell phone accessories to digital storage devices.

Discovery through fun and play is at the very heart of the Gateway’s mission,” said Mayor Walt Maddox. “Tech-or-Treat does just that - it introduces children to technology so they can get a head start with science and innovation.”

The event is free and open to all ages, but children must be accompanied by an adult.

For more information or to register for booth space on behalf of an organization, email events@tuscaloosa.com or contact Tuscaloosa 311 at 205-248-5311.
