Paper Or Plastic? Debate Rages Over U.S. Officials Increasingly Being Sworn In On Tablets Instead Of Bibles:

Experts are wondering aloud if the recent wave of U.S. officials using Bibles displayed on electronic devices has the same meaning as using a traditional printed version of the holy book.  Attention was first drawn to the growing trend when United States Ambassador to Lichtenstein and Switzerland Suzi LeVine became the first ambassador to be sworn into office on an Amazon Kindle e-reader.  LeVine was preceded by others, but her swearing in was the most high-profile, and has raised a debate among historians as the likelihood more officials will opt for a digital copy only increases.
