By all accounts, it's hard to make good money driving for Uber or Lyft. So at least this sounds like ONE good way to squeeze some money out of them.
Lyft just launched a new promotion where they'll pay people to not use their car for a month. They're offering the deal in 35 big cities around the country.
You can register on their site, and they'll pick 50 people in each spot to ditch their cars for a month . . . and get approximately $500 in credits for other types of transportation, like trains, bike sharing, and, of course, Lyfts.
If you're interested, you can register at DitchWithLyft.com. And if they pick you, you'll have to stop driving on October 8th.
