Brittney Spencer Will Perform At Bobby & Caitlin's Wedding Ceremony

Bobby Bones and his fiancé Caitlin are getting married later this year and Bones brought on artist Brittney Spencer to share some exciting news. Spencer will be performing at Bones and Caitlin's wedding ceremony. She will be singing an important song to Bones and Caitlin while Caitlin walks down the aisle.

While on the show, Spencer also talked about her friendship with Amy. The two met at Turnip Truck several years back while Spencer was working there. Amy confessed that Spencer was the only one that could make Amy's beat juice just right. Then as the years went on, they had several things that kept bringing them together and have become really good friends because of it. Not only are they friends, but Spencer has also become a mentor to Amy's daughter. Recently, Spencer and Amy wrote a song together for Amy's Podcast series called 'Outweigh.'

Spencer has been in Nashville for several years. She has sang backup for Carrie Underwood twice, the most recent time was at the 2019 CMA Awards. Spencer shared that Carrie is so nice that it made everyone want to give the performance everything they had. The whole experience for Spencer was unreal, she shared while performing that she looked down and saw Dolly Parton and Reba McEntire and it was incredible.

Amy encouraged Spencer to share her story about her mother. There were several people that told Spencer she shouldn't pursue country music as a black woman, but her mom championed her and encouraged her to pursue a career in country music because she knew her daughter could do it. Her mom was the first one to purchase a pair of cowboy boots for Spencer, admitting that she knew all along Brittney would do some big things.

Brittney Spencer performed her single "Compassion" and a cover of The Highwomen's "Crowded Table."
