Dolly Parton 'Fan Girls' Over Miranda Lambert

Dolly Parton and Miranda Lambert Are Fans Of Each Other.

Dolly has had the opportunity to sing with countless incredible singers over her career, but there was someone in particular that she was eager to collaborate with.

Miranda Lambert.

Dolly and Miranda finally had the opportunity to collaborate when producers had the vision to revamp "Dumb Blonde" for the motion picture, 'Dumplin'. Originally written by Curly Putman, “Dumb Blonde” was the lead-off song of Parton’s debut album, 'Hello, I’m Dolly' and the sass-laden proclamation to independence was a smash hit for Dolly in 1967.

During an interview with Cody Alan, Dolly recalls her excitement when saying yes to a collab idea presented with the "Tin Man" singer in mind.

“Well, first of all, I love Miranda, and I had not had the chance actually to get to know her.  We are fans of each other’s, and she would talk about me different times, and I would talk about her, loving her.” Dolly shares that she jumped at the chance. “It was my first top 10 record back in 1966 or 1967. Somewhere in there,” she says with a wink.
