Luke Bryan delivered one last track from his upcoming studio album before the full project arrives later this month.
Bryan released “a favorite from the album,” a ballad called “I Liked Loving You,” on Wednesday (September 9). The song arrives after the five-time Entertainer of the Year shared sneak peeks of unreleased music on social media and allowed fans to vote. “I Liked Loving You” — written by Jimi Bell, Kyle Sturrock and Jimmy Robbins — is the song Bryan said “he’s most vocally proud of on this album,” according to a press release.
“When I heard this song, I knew it was special,” Bryan said in a statement. “I really spent a lot of time working on how I was going to approach it in the studio, and I love what I was able to do when I stepped up to the microphone. This song has heartbreak all over it. And when you think about the words and the production, I think the guys who wrote it did an amazing job. They just crushed it on this one. I’m really proud of how this turned out.”
“I Liked Loving You” is one of 12 tracks that appears on Signs, Bryan’s upcoming studio album. So far, the American Idol judge has released the title track, “Fish Hunt Golf Drink,” “Made It A Memory,” “Word On The Street,” and “Country And She Knows It.”

“This record is a little bit of everything that shaped me,” Bryan said in the Signs album trailer. “It’s heartbreak and healing, backroads and barstools. It’s the signs you miss and the ones you can’t ignore. It’s the nights that went wrong and the ones you wish you could live again. It’s where I come from, the woods, the fields, the people, and how love, loss, and time have a way of straightening you out or crooking your rows of corn for good. These are my signs.”
Signs will release on September 18. Watch Bryan perform “I Liked Loving You” here:
