The Price of Super Bowl Tickets . . . Is Falling?

The Super Bowl is one of the most expensive tickets out there . . . but this year, it's actually a lot CHEAPER than it used to be.

Five years ago, the MEDIAN price for a Super Bowl ticket was $6,002. Now it's basically HALF that, $3,009. (Yes, that's right, you can now go to the SUPER BOWL for less than your Obamacare deductible!)

The prices would probably have been a lot higher if the Dallas Cowboys were playing the Patriots . . . since the game is being played in Houston and they were being led by two rookies, Dak Prescott and Ezekiel Elliott. But they couldn't even get past the Green Bay Packers.

And every year, the TV game experience at home becomes more and more advanced. There's even a VIRTUAL REALITY component this year.

Last we checked, there were tickets going for just over $2,000 on TicketCity, including one at $1,776. And there were tickets for $2,300 on StubHub.

There are still a few more days left before the game, so who knows if the market will continue sliding, or if it'll heat up with last-minute buys.
