3 New Concerts Announced For Tuscaloosa Amphitheater

The Tuscaloosa Amphitheater has announced three new shows coming later this year.

1.  Jaheim with Leela James, Eric Benét & Daley – Sat. April 29th

2.  Soundgarden – Sat. May 6th

3.  John Legend – May 16th

Here's the complete schedule so far for the Tuscaloosa Amphitheater for the 2017 concert season:

• Mary Mary & Tasha Cobbs – Sat. April 8th

o Sisters Erica and Tina Campbell make up the groundbreaking duoMary Mary. Together they have won 3 Grammys, 2 American MusicAwards, an NAACP Image Award and a BET Award.

o Tasha Cobbs also won a Grammy for Best Gospel/ContemporaryChristian Music Performance


• Def Leppard with Poison & Tesla – May 2nd

o Def Leppard formed in 1977 and has 10 studio albums andcountless sold out shows under their belt. They are one of theworld’s best-selling music artists with over 100 million records soldworldwide. Their massive hits include “Photograph,” “Love Bites,”“Hysteria,” and “Rock of Ages”.

o Poison has sold over 50 million records worldwide and charted sixTop 10 singles including “Every Rose Has Its Thorn” and “NothingBut A Good Time”. The band features original members BretMichaels, Rikki Rockett, Bobby Dall and C.C. DeVille.


• Dave Matthews & Tim Reynolds – May 3rd

o Dave Matthews and Tim Reynolds met in Charlottesville whileMatthews was bartending. Dave Matthews went on to form DaveMatthews Band and Reynolds had his own band, TR3. Reynoldshas often recorded and toured as a member of Dave MatthewsBand. Dave & Tim is now a regular side project for both artists,always playing together acoustic.

o Dave Matthews Band won the 1997 Best Rock Vocal Performanceby a Duo or Group Grammy for “So Much To Say” and DaveMatthews won a 2004 Grammy for Best Male Rock VocalPerformance as a solo artist for “Gravedigger.”


• Rod Stewart with Cyndi Lauper – July 9th

o Sir Rod Stewart is nothing short of a rock legend. He is one of thebest-selling music artists of all time, having sold over 100 millionrecords worldwide. He has had 16 top ten singles in the US withfour #1’s on the Billboard chart. He was inducted into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame in 1994 and won a Grammy in 2005 for BestTraditional Pop Vocal Album for “Stardust…The Great AmericanSongbook Volume III.”

o Cyndi Lauper has a career that has spanned over 30 years. Herdebut solo album “She’s So Unusual” was the first debut femalealbum to chart four top-five hits – “Girls Just Want to Have Fun,”“Time After Time,” “She Bop,” and “All Through The Night”. It earnedher the Best New Artist Grammy in 1985. She has sold over 50million records worldwide and won Grammys, Emmys and Tonys.
