2% of Us Think the Earth Is Flat

Some idiot in California was in the news last week after he used a homemade rocket to launch himself 1,900 feet in the air to prove the Earth is FLAT.Obviously he didn't prove anything.

But someone polled over 8,000 people to find out just how common the whole flat Earth theory is. And the results are surprising.

2% of Americans said they fully believe the Earth is flat. So 1 in 50 think all the evidence that says it's round is part of a huge, worldwide conspiracy.

And another 14% said they either have DOUBTS that the Earth is round, or they're just"not sure." (???)

Adults between 18 and 24 were the most likely to say they think the Earth is flat. 4%said they've always believed it, and another THIRTY percent said they either have doubts, or they're not sure.

84% of people overall said they have no doubt the Earth is round. That includes 94% of people over the age of 55.
