Do you have that one aunt who does all her Christmas shopping WAY early each year? Here are four reasons you might want to follow her lead, and start shopping now . . .
1. Shorter lines and less chaos. Instead of dealing with crowds, you just have to wrap your gifts . . . watch some football . . . and EAT your way through the holidays. So your stress levels aren't through the roof.
2. You'll probably give better gifts. Trying to find a perfect thing for everyone is a lot more doable when you shop early, because you can put more thought into it. By mid-December, you'll buy ANY half-decent gift just to check someone off your list.
3. Shopping early means money won't be as tight around the holidays. If you buy at least some stuff now, you won't have to drain your bank account to buy everything in December.
4. Avoiding holiday "deals" can actually SAVE you money. You might find a few crazy discounts on Black Friday or Cyber Monday. And if you enjoy that whole process, go for it. But the deals aren't always as good as people think.
Plus, a lot of the stuff that goes on sale isn't stuff we actually need or want. We just see deals we can't pass up, and make a lot of impulse purchases . . . including presents for ourselves.
