Former Super Bowl champion and Prime Video analyst Andrew Whitworth predicted that the Kansas City Chiefs would defeat the Philadelphia Eagles in Super Bowl LIX while speaking to iHeartMedia on behalf of his partnership with Mr. Clean cleaning products.
"I think that the Chiefs actually have the gameplan to beat them," Whitworth said. "Long drives, throw up points, get off the grass, stop [Eagles running back] Saquon [Barkley] and they can get this done."
Whitworth said that he expects the Chiefs to play the Eagles in a way similar to the Los Angeles Rams in the NFC Divisional Round, which ultimately saw Philadelphia win but included a late game push by Los Angeles.
"I think it's just the Rams game with a better defense," Whitworth added.
Super Bowl LIX will be a rematch of the Super Bowl LVII played two years prior. The Chiefs defeated the Eagles, 38-35, to win their first of back-to-back Super Bowls, and look to become the first team in NFL history to win three consecutive, already won three times and made four appearances in the last five games.
The Eagles' lone Super Bowl victory came in February 2018, defeating the New England Patriots, 41-33, which marked their third of four prior appearances.
