Late legend Jeannie Seely’s legacy will be honored this month on the historic Grand Ole Opry stage in Nashville, Tennessee.
Seely’s memorial service will be titled Jeannie Seely's 5,398th Opry Show, the late legend’s team reportedly confirmed to news outlets on Wednesday (August 6). The memorial service is set for Thursday, August 14 at 10 a.m. CT. It will be available for Seely’s fans to pay respects via livestream, and the singer-songwriter’s team noted in lieu of flowers, fans may consider making a donation to the Opry Trust Fund or a charitable organization that benefits pets.
Seely, who was the oldest actively working female entertainer in country music, died on Friday (August 1), following complications from an intestinal infection at Summit Medical Center in Hermitage, Tennessee, outside of downtown Nashville. https://country.iheart.com/content/2025-08-01-jeannie-seely-beloved-grand-ole-opry-legend-dies-at-85/. We will miss you dearly.”
